The Multiverse Gazette is an independent publication devoted to thoughtful writing about Magic the Gathering.

We think about Magic as more than a game. A way to come together in celebration and competition, to tinker and craft and delight with ingenuity – this is the joy of that Magic. The Gazette exists to explore all of it with curiosity, honesty, and a little wonder.

Here you’ll find articles about Commander, deckbuilding, collecting, overlooked cards, Magic history, new releases, and the culture surrounding the game. Some pieces will offer practical advice. Others will examine the strange, memorable, or underappreciated corners of the Multiverse.

The goal is not to publish as quickly or loudly as possible. It is to publish things worth reading.

Behind the Gazette

The Multiverse Gazette was founded by Joe, a longtime Magic player, collector, deck tinkerer, and enthusiastic digger-through-bulk.

The Gazette may be small, but it is being built with the long-term ambition of becoming a home for distinctive voices and thoughtful Magic writing.

Our Editorial Approach

The Gazette values curiosity over certainty, substance over outrage, and genuine enthusiasm over empty hype.

Articles may contain strong opinions, but they will always be presented in good faith. The objective is not to tell readers the single correct way to enjoy Magic. It is to offer ideas worth considering and stories worth discussing.
